My work is concerned with layering; the layering of different mediums, the layering of cultures, the layering of religious beliefs, and the layering of personal memories, emotions, and relationships…. the layers that make up life - concluding in death.
I work in various mediums, wax, oils, oil crayons, acrylics, letting the mediums dictate the initial images. I then work into the forms coaxing the materials into a realization of what I want to say.
